Before using your Jesew markers for the first time, shake the marker vigorously for 30 seconds with the cap on. Then press the tip gently on a piece of scrap paper or cardboard several times until ink flows evenly. This primes the felt tip and ensures a smooth, consistent line from the start.

It depends on the marker type:

• Permanent Markers — cardboard, paper, wood, metal, plastic, glass (permanent bond)
• Liquid Chalk Markers — non-porous surfaces: chalkboards, whiteboards, glass, windows, mirrors. Easily wiped off with a damp cloth.
• Acrylic Paint Markers — canvas, wood, rock, fabric, ceramic, paper, leather
• Metallic Paint Markers — glass, metal, ceramic, wood, plastic, dark paper

Yes — our Permanent Markers, Acrylic Paint Markers, and Metallic Paint Markers are waterproof once fully dry (allow 15–30 minutes). Liquid Chalk Markers are not waterproof by design — they wipe clean from non-porous surfaces with a damp cloth, which is their key feature for reusable signage.

Always replace the cap firmly after each use. Store markers horizontally or with the tip facing down to keep ink saturated in the tip. Avoid leaving the cap off for more than a few minutes. If a tip dries out, try pressing it on a wet sponge for 10–15 seconds to rehydrate.

Yes! Our acrylic markers work on fabric. For permanent results on clothing, heat-set the design with an iron (place a cloth between iron and design) or run it through a dryer on high heat for 30 minutes after the paint fully dries. Wash inside-out in cold water afterward.

Simply wipe with a damp cloth or wet sponge. For stubborn marks on rough or porous surfaces (unsealed chalkboards), you may need a wet cloth with a small amount of dish soap. We recommend testing on a small corner before writing on antique or specialty boards.

Yes, but with a note: on porous/traditional chalkboards, chalk markers may leave a faint ghost mark after erasing. To minimize this, season your chalkboard first (rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire surface, then erase). On non-porous chalkboard contact paper or glass, they erase perfectly clean.

Our chalk markers are non-toxic and conform to ASTM D-4236 safety standards. They are safe for children aged 3+ under adult supervision. However, they are not edible — keep away from infants who may put items in their mouths.

Standard shipping within the United States typically takes 5–8 business days. Expedited options (3–5 business days) are available at checkout. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.

We process orders quickly! If you need to change or cancel, please contact us immediately — within 2 hours of placing the order. Once the order has been dispatched, we are unable to modify or cancel it, but you can return it after delivery.

Currently we ship within the United States only. International shipping is on our roadmap — sign up for our newsletter to be notified when it launches.

We offer a 30-day hassle-free return policy. If you are not completely satisfied, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in original condition (unused or defective). We will provide a prepaid return label for defective or incorrect items. For other returns, return shipping is at the buyer's expense.

We are sorry to hear that! Please contact us with your order number and a photo of the affected markers. We will send a free replacement or issue a full refund — no need to return the damaged items.

Once we receive and inspect the return (or approve a replacement request), refunds are processed within 3–5 business days. The funds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

All Jesew products come with a 1-year quality warranty against manufacturing defects, dried-out tips on arrival, and ink flow issues. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, dropping, or using markers on incompatible surfaces.
